چکیده

Introduction. Amidst the multiplicity of audio signal processing tasks connected with necessity source separation, problem obtaining its most prominent components occupies special place. One approaches, dedicated to solve such task, is based on melody extraction from musical recording. If generalized, technique can be applied a wider class signals for them so-called fundamental frequencies contour. For realization, an attempt was made combine method median filtering salience estimation method, their application at various stages analysis input signal. A combination methods used obtain f_0-representation melody, filtered values obtained first step. The purpose article trajectory f_0-values and corresponding this harmonics. Results. proposed effective use in systems contour tonal further reuse. Conclusions. Realized spectrum decomposition technique, tendency time-frequency distribution constituent sounds, allows effectively extract melodic contours non-melodic contours. Nevertheless, there research regarding model harmonic percussive characteristics relative each other. Such should extended heuristics more accurate stable time complex signals.

Phase-based harmonic/percussive separation

In this paper, a method for separation of harmonic and percussive elements in music recordings is presented. The proposed method is based on a simple spectral peak detection step followed by a phase expectation analysis that discriminates between harmonic and percussive components. The proposed method was tested on a database of 10 audio tracks and has shown superior results to the reference st...

Harmonic-Percussive Source Separation Using Harmonicity and Sparsity Constraints

In this paper, we propose a novel approach to harmonicpercussive sound separation (HPSS) using Non-negative Matrix Factorization (NMF) with sparsity and harmonicity constraints. Conventional HPSS methods have focused on temporal continuity of harmonic components and spectral continuity of percussive components. However, it may not be appropriate to use them to separate time-varying harmonic sig...

Genre Specific Dictionaries for Harmonic/Percussive Source Separation

Blind source separation usually obtains limited performance on real and polyphonic music signals. To overcome these limitations, it is common to rely on prior knowledge under the form of side information as in Informed Source Separation or on machine learning paradigms applied on a training database. In the context of source separation based on factorization models such as the Non-negative Matr...

Extending Harmonic-Percussive Separation of Audio Signals

In recent years, methods to decompose an audio signal into a harmonic and a percussive component have received a lot of interest and are frequently applied as a processing step in a variety of scenarios. One problem is that the computed components are often not of purely harmonic or percussive nature but also contain noise-like sounds that are neither clearly harmonic nor percussive. Furthermor...

Online Harmonic/percussive Separation Using Smoothness/sparseness Constraints

The separation of percussive sounds from harmonic sounds in audio recordings remains a challenging task since it has received much attention over the last decade. In a previous work, we described a method to separate harmonic and percussive sounds based on a constrained Non-negative Matrix Factorization (NMF) approach. The approach distinguishes between percussive and harmonic bases integrating...
